IPL Hair Removal
Being gifted with excessive hair is not necessarily a blessing. Unsightly hair in unwanted places is arguably the main reason that stops us from wearing sleeveless top, bikinis and backless dresses. Shaving and plucking your hair daily is uncomfortable and time consuming. Waxing is expensive and painful. These methods produce mediocre results, leave irritating red marks and sometimes hyperpigmented scars on your skin.
If you have had enough of this, stop torturing yourself. IPL Hair Removal is the right thing for you.
What is IPL Hair Removal?
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. When targeted at the hair, this high energy light gets absorbed by hair and hair follicles. These hair and hair follicles get destroyed by the light permanently.
We use Venus IPL hair removal device. Venus IPL device utilizes revolutionary Smart Pulse technology that ensures precise and consistent energy delivery to the chosen target. This minimises any damage to the surrounding skin during hair removal treatment.
Am I suitable for treatment?
IPL Hair Removal is suitable for for women and men. Treatment regime varies from person to person depending on skin type, skin tone, gender, hair density, hair thickness and area of treatment. Allow your doctor to assess your condition in order to recommend the best treatment protocol for you.
Areas suitable for IPL hair removal:
Buttock/Buttock cleft hair
Bikini line hair
Specifically for women: Legs, arms, bikini line, underarms, upper lip, chin and face
Specifically For men: Back, shoulders, chest, abdomen, sideburns, chin, jawline.
How many treatment do I need?
The number of treatment sessions and the efficacy of treatment vary from person to person. Multiple factors such as hair density, hair thickness, hair colour and area of treatment can affect the result. Most patients require approximately 4 to 8 treatments. Each treatment is 4 to 6 weeks apart.
With each treatment session, what you will notice is that your hair becomes less, more fine, and grows at a much slower rate.
Is it long term?
The result from IPL hair removal is long term. However, repeated touch up treatment may be required from time to time especially for areas with high hair density and thickness.
What do I need to do before I come for treatment?
Shave the treatment area 1-2 days before treatment.
Avoid sun tanning for 1 week before and after treatment.
Avoid waxing or plucking your hair 1-2 weeks before treatment.
